I&C specialists set up emergency power supply for computing centre
The Kremsmueller I&C team has numerous references where high-performance computing centres are concerned. The emergency power supply systems, working in parallel, have ratings of up to 5,500 KVA. The customer list includes companies from the pharmaceutical as well as the banking sector.
In one of the newer projects, a leading Austrian communications company entrusted the engineers from Kremsmueller with a special project. It involved setting up a completely new emergency power supply system of a computing centre in an old substation in the city of Graz.
This was an extensive project that included the planning and efficient design of the electrical system. In addition, the installation of the emergency power supply had to be prepared outdoors. Our customer offers his customers comprehensive solutions for Internet and data lines in Austria. An emergency power supply was essential for being able to optimally provide power to the indispensable computing centre if something went wrong.
The keywords "100-percent failure safety" and "optimum energy redundancy" dominated the entire project. The team from I&C Haid was present at the time of the final capacity test of the system. At full load, the system delivered what it had promised.
